Helping you navigate from stormy seas to still waters

***New Clients: I currently have a waitlist for any new or prospective clients, due to my caseload being full at this time. If you'd like to be considered for my waitlist, please leave me a message by voicemail, text, or email with 1) the best phone number to call and 2) the best times to call to discuss. Finding the right fit for someone to talk to about your mental health can be a daunting task. The fact that you are reading a psychologist's professional autobiography is a good sign: You are taking that difficult first step toward finding a professional that can help! Hi, I'm Daniel. I am dedicated to providing compassionate and trustworthy mental healthcare in Washington State. I graduated with my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (PsyD) from Wheaton College in 2014 and I have been practicing as a Licensed Psychologist in Washington State since 2015. While I consider myself a generalist, I specialize in providing individual psychotherapy to adults 18 and older. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Object-Relations Psychodynamic Theory in my work. What does that mean? It means that I listen very carefully, help place your concerns in context, and then provide you a sense of direction. Sometimes therapists jump too quickly to give advice. I don't. This therapeutic process unfolds together in a collaborative professional relationship where I will: 1) Connect, 2) Reflect, and then 3) Direct. If you are interested and willing, I have specialized training and experience in helping patients understand how their spiritual and religious beliefs shape how they see and interact with the world around them. Whether you are full of faith or doubt, I can help you sort through the chaos and increase your understanding of your experience. Access to quality mental healthcare are important to me! My practice accepts insurance, and is currently in-network with the several health insurances. Please note that health insurances are typically large companies with various networks. While I may be in-network with your insurance company, it may not mean I am in-network with your particular plan's network. Therefore, I always recommend you contact your insurance company directly and confirm that I'm in-network on your plan using a) your insurance card information, b) my name (Daniel Pratt), and c) my NPI numbers (individual provider - 1114396736, business group - 1679391361). Different insurances use different NPIs for me, so it's good to have both ready when you call or when checking online with your insurance. Be sure to ask your insurance 1) "What's my co-pay?", 2) "What's my deductible?", and 3) "Do I have any preauthorization requirements?" to help reduce the risk of any surprise costs on your end. I also accept out-of-network insurance benefits, and will provide you with a superbill for you to seek reimbursement from your insurance company, if requested. If you don't have insurance, or would prefer to not use insurance, I am able to accept self-pay. My rates are listed below. I look forward to any questions you have about my practice!
